The most famous flea market in Paris is the one at Porte de Clignancourt, officially called Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, but known to everyone as Les Puces (The Fleas). Make a good morning of it if you want to buy - after lunch it gets busy - but there are nice enough places to eat around! Watch where you put your feet on the floor market beneath the road bridge - I blundered straight into someone's prize items for sale and ended up on the floor with them repairing things!

Covering many acres the market ranges from the finest antiques through to second hand clothes and other tat - on the streets i definitely got the sense that photographers were not that welcome in some quarters - and in some of the covered areas too but for different reasons!

I liked this young woman's rapt attention on the clothes in hand and the potential to frame her right in the thick of 'purchasing heaven' - at the more diverse and bohemian end of the scale!
