Photographer's Note
Molise is one of the smallest Italian regions, and also one of the least developed in the field of tourism. On the other hand there are many gems to be discovered, many small villages and towns with millennial history and rich architectural surprises.
One of these is Oratino, walk in the old town it is a real step back in time ... as this corner of Vico Petti.
Oratino is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Campobasso in the Italian region Molise, located about 7 kilometres (4 mi) west of Campobasso. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,326 and an area of 18.0 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi).
Oratino borders the following municipalities: Busso, Campobasso, Castropignano, Ripalimosani.

Il Molise è una delle più piccole regioni italiane, ed anche una delle meno sviluppate in campo turistico. In compenso ci sono molti gioielli da scoprire, tanti piccoli borghi e paesini con storie millenarie e ricchi di soprese architettoniche.
Uno di questi è Oratino, camminare nel suo centro storico è un vero salto nel passato...come questo angolo di Vico Petti.

love these types of compositions where the two walls are apart, yet they look joined. Its all about the angles and lines. and on top of that there's lots of textures and history too.

An interesting closer view of a part of that small alley showing the details very well like the wooden door and window shutter and the lantern. Wonderful textures of the walls with their big natural stones.

Excellent house facades close-up photo with very nice colors, perfect light, very good clarity and splendid details.
Also the choice of tight cropping suits the shape. All nicely framed in portrait format.

P.S. I see that a window at top left has been closed up. We see this in very old buildings in Britain because in previous centuries there was a thing called a "window tax". I wonder if the same applied in Italy?

la tua composizione e' magnifica, e' geniale la prospettiva che hai scelto, dividendo il quadro tra le due lati del vicolo e creando un dialogo tra i dettagli di ogni parte. C' e' anche un senso di mistero che fa' gran voglia di proseguire oltre l' angolo in primo piano. Un incanto silente...passi senza suono percorrono il vicolo antico. Figure incorporee si incrociano salutandosi garbatamente ma senza voce lì in quell'angolo. E nella finestra appare, fantasma anch'esso, un bucato azzurrino...

Non vediamo le foto di Molise spesso qui su TE. Che piacere di vedere questo paesino, molto carino e caratteristico. I vicoli d'italia sono famosi in tutto il mondo, e questa composizione e' veramente italianissima. Ottimo il gioco di luce e dettagli architetturali.
