Photographer's Note

In my last post where you can see a photo from the Hora of Serifos (CHECK HERE), I have written what "Hora" is and I also wrote that two of the most beautiful Horas of the Aegean are those of Serifos and Folegandros.

Here you can see the Hora of Folegandros, in fact its "heart", the "Castle". By saying "Castle" it's not the classic castle that you have in mind. These small houses, stuck the one to the other form part of the castle itself. The walls of the castle are the exterior walls of these houses, more than 1 m thick, and they keep standing there for more than 700 or 800 years.

The road you can see here, is the "central" road of the Castle, and it's called the "Grand Rua" by the locals.

***I don't know if I 'll manage to upload another photo till Sunday, so I would like to wish "Happy Easter" to all Greek Orthodox!
