Photographer's Note
This is FIRAT River (Euphrates River) in southeastern Turkey. There are 22 dams and 19 hydroelectric stations built on the Euphrates and Tigris rivers in the 1980s and '90s in order to provide irrigation water and hydroelectricity to arid southeastern Turkey. That is because of these dams, the water is so still and I was able to take such a photo while riding on a bus tour around the historical areas of souteastern Turkey.
