Photographer's Note
A few weeks ago, I posted one of his sculptures, in Quinta do Mocho. Here's one of the most recent ones made by Bordalo II, one of my favourite artists nowadays. Salamanders are very common in this area but this one was made using whole cars, old tires, bumpers and lots of junk. The aim is to draw people's attention to the problems of pollution and the need to re-use the materials and also to the fact that that same pollution is affecting lots of species.

Hi Ana
now how cool is that!
excellent subject to show us today.
love how the artist used old car parts, showing that just because its old doesn't mean it need to be thrown away.
lots of creativity shown by the artist.
you had a perfect type of day too, awesome blue sky with clouds, and the bg buildings help out too.
lots to like here
cheers

Hi Ana,
this is so colorful! I like salamanders in general with their orange patches. Here as well this huge salamander adds an interesting touch to the scene. Fantastic sky tops up the composition beautifully. Great idea of the artist as well to utilize the old materials, It is a very smart way to recycle it I guess.
Very impressive,
great picture too!
