Photographer's Note

There is an older chain of family-owned supermarkets in La Paz, "Aramburo." They are smaller than the new "big box" supermarkets, but they carry everything you might need, are open long hours, and are in neighborhoods where they can be walked to rather than taking a car. One of the things I love most about them (and that I am sorry is not in this picture) is that they have a very large grill outside, from which they sell baked potatoes or will cook the meat that you buy at the store. In a hot climate like La Paz, it is a real luxury to not have to heat up your own stove, kitchen, and house with cooking the beef!

This shot shows the tell-tale noise that the old Panasonic Lumix produced when shooting in low light, but you gotta love that f/2.8 aperture.
