Photographer's Note

Not the most spectacular sunrise, but after the massive windstorms of recent days we are thankful for a respite. This was the occasion of the first TE Meet in Vancouver, organized by the indomitable Dan Walsh and attended by Dan, Alvin Brown, Paul Enns, Donald Griesdale, Andrew Coppin, and myself.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion. If Dan acquires any more camera equipment he will need a caddy to transport it all. Perhaps even more amazing is the fact that he knows how to use it all so well.

Although the scene here is tranquil, we were surrounded on the edge of Stanley Park by several huge trees that were completely uprooted during recent storms and it will take many months for parks staff to clean up. The view here is toward the east, with the Canada Place building barely visible in the distance.
