Photographer's Note
Playing hooky one day from school, I decided to venture out onto Lake Ontario. The ice had thawed somewhat and then must have quickly refroze leaving large clear patches that you see here.
The ice was crystal clear in some spots but had suffered a lot of cracking and marbling due to the frosty temperatures. It was a rather surreal feeling to be walking around on what looks like glass and see nothing below but a black void.

Beautiful, such vibrant blue tones. It looks so fragile, and yet you say you were walking on it! Even given the title, I wasn't sure what this graphism was until I read your note.
It's certainly a nice sharp image at this resolution. I don't suppose it's just as sharp in the original? If so, could I get a copy for my computer desktop? :)

Yo Brendon,
I really like this photo. It has a graphic style but it could almost be classed as Abstract. Great colours, tones and clarity. I like how at a distance you could be mistaken for making and finding your own forms and figures in the webs. Cheers.

Fascinating... What an interesting pattern with only different shades of blue. I must find a lake and try to get a similar shot!

I like the abstract feel of the photo. I showed it to my wife who will not walk on ice like that and it freaked her out, so you did an excellent job.
Nice contrast between the lights and the darks. This image allows the eye to roam and not come to a stopping point.

TREMENDOUS shot of ice, Brendon! What a graphic delight! Love the ice in closeup. I have also made one, without retouching, here. One wouldn't believe nature's wonders!

Hi Brendon,
Sometime lapsed before I decided to read the note with this picture. I really like this picture. It looks more like a painting than broken ice. Very nice colours.

Hello Brendon, this is an incredible picture where nature becomes art. The patterns are fascinating. You have done well in your framing to get a good composition here.

Hi Brendon
A piece of artwork this detail is. Well captured atmosphere and soft light and colours. all that lines in the cracking ice make a nice graphic scene.

Hi Brendon,
realy nice lines of energy, in physics we call it Tensor which is one of intresting sessions and show that how energy is moving accross the crystal type material.
Thanks for sharing
