Photographer's Note
In so many places around the world water is really scarce, most other places it's becaming very expensive, yet at the same time thousands of gallons of it is being wasted every hour.

Very interesting study. Good tones, perfect ripples, and the tild is quite effective. Like the reflections on the water.

Excellent photo. How did you get the pipe (?) so razor-sharp but the lovely grainy texture of the ripples? Bravo!

Excellent photo and the composition is great; it really brings to mind the peril of so many in the world.
The grain looks great and black and white is wonderful there too.

Nice one, like an old record on the gramophone or a cimbal being crashed. The tones are perfect and the mood fits your note.

Peter,
I really like your comment, it is totally true and people dont do anything about it. It is a very well composed picture, i like the uniform shape of the "wave", the shadow of the pipe is really nice. the B&W bringd out the best of your picture and gives is a sutil and relaxing effect.

The first thing I thought of was a spinning record with the needle raised! Very interesting shot, serene, then you hit us up with your note for a u-turn. Nice BW conversion, I like the grains in the reflection. Nice one Peter (good to see a new post from ya too)!

Simple, graphic and aesthetic. The choicve of b&w enhances the circular forms, as well as the opposition of textures (iron on water). I read your thread with Alex, and I feel like saying that good photography is not only street photography with people half cropped and half in the frame. Keep looking in your attic and I'm pretty sure you'll find out very interesting images to share. Nice work.

Swietne ujecie. W pierwszej chwili pomyslalem ze to adapter z plyta gramofonowa, to pewnie przez kolory czarno-biale. Dobry opis. Co najwazniejsze w tym zdjeciu moim skromnym zdanie to pomysl i ''klimat''. W fotografii ilu fotografow tyle roznych spojrzen.

Great picture with great words ... I can only agree and I have to tell myself that I should not be wasting water either (which I do sometimes, taking endless showers for nothing).

I'm sorry, but I have to say that I, too, like this photo for many reasons.
This one has it all: from the attractivness as a thumbnail, to great portion of almost centered circles, unusual pipe that itself bears high contrast b/w, much higher than the contrast of water colour against the reflections seen in it, then the composition...
... everything that is hard to find (or rare) in any other b/w themed photo.
And sometimes it's not the matter of personal liking of the subject, but the way the subject is presented - like here, not in an ordinary way.

Wow Peter. This is really great and very simple too. It looks great even on the thumbnail. The grains are high but work well. But it is those concentric circles and the dripping pipe leading into the corner which really catch the eye.

I missed a lot of your great photos, Peter. This one appeals to me very much. It is a simple but strong composition. The B&W works well, the lighting and contrasting textures are very attractive. Good angle and framing. Well seen. Well done.

Well done!

Impressive... very graphical. I can almost feel the tranquility. This photo reminds me of Japanese shinto shrines. Near each of them there is a small pond where one can perform one's ablution before saying prayers.
There's something mystical in this photo. It's just like Chinese or Japanese painting... sparing with strokes but abundant in meaning.
Thank you for this photo.
Best regards
Pawel
