Photographer's Note
Going back to Stanley Park.
As a friend recently told me, its very easy to go to Stanley Park and simply fall in love taking photos of the cityscape and high rise buildings that Vancouver has to offer.
Its really hard to point the camera lens to the side and shoot scenes like this, especially for me! But every once in awhile it turns out pretty good, and i was happy with the results here.
But as Claude would say to me, there are no PEOPLE in the scene! And i agree, i wish somebody was sitting in that bench or there was a jogger strolling by...but its really cold out, as its early in the morning.
For once i wish i had some people to show :) But this will have to do for now...hope you like it still.
Cheers
Craig

Hello Craig,
a very nice frozen landscape. The trees look carved against the sky. It is true, a person on the bench would make the difference, but maybe it was too cold !
Cheers

Blue winter, blue cold, I can feel it! Here the weather is sunny and dry, yesterday we had 5Ί/16Ί! Not usual for january. I like your picture a lot, you've got such a nice composition and the sharpess, as usual, excellent. A pleasure to the eyes my friend!
Have a good week!

A splendid winter landscape image.
Perhaps a little bit cold for take a break on one of the benches.

Hi Craig,
a very interesting impression of a wonderful place. You have chosen an excellent POV. The cold colors are really fascinating; but it is the light that creates a great mood. My compliments also for the nice note!
Warm regards

Hello Craig,
A bit cold to be sat waiting on a bench waiting for a photographer to appear:-) I like this attractive composition and the well chosen point of view. The lights from the buildings offer some contrasting warm tones to counter the predominantly blue ones. The bare trees silhouetted against the wintry sky are seen in great detail. The image has good sharpness.

Hi Craig
getting to grips with the blues now then! Lovely shot and the cold is palpable. Beautifully composed and in such a compelling light. I love the shapes of the bare trees and the little bursts of orange light. Excellent!
Hope you have a good week - regards Brian.

Hi Craig
How incoisiderate that nobody was sitting there for you to take this shot. You'll have to employ one of the bums of someone to be your model in future. Love the blue tones and of course the cool caste, but would love to see this without the HDR. Beautiful textures and light - and of course a wonderful subject, your trusty old Stanley Park.
Cheers, have a great day

Hi Craig,
it would be interesting to see somebody sitting there but as you say not always the scene has all the elements... anyway, the image is good, I like the colors and the big trees on the right, it looks really cold!
Best regards,
Sergio

hello Craig
it's not usual to see such picture from you, and as Claude, I would have liked to see 1 or 2 people to give animation. But I have to say that there is i nice quiet atmosphere, enhanced by the softness of the bluish tones of the whole picture. And yes, this is very nice to look at.
Cheers

Bonjour Craig,
une photo trθs froide, y compris dans les couleurs trθs bleutιes. Une photo soignιe dans une nettetι juste ce qu'il faut. J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance de l'endroit et du moment.
Bien ΰ toi.

Hello Craig,
Nice shades of blue in this photo, and I personally prefer this one without any people. :-) I think the desolation gives a good sense of the early hour and the cold temps. I really like the bit of golden light captured on the right, and the way the bare tree branches fill the top right of the frame.

Hi Craig
Belle soirιe

Hi Craig,
The distance between the bench and the house in the background is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of this area of Stanley park. Using a tripod and a shutter speed of 1 seconds are enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
Well you live in one of the most beautiful countries on earth....
This photo is excellent - the azure blues - strip of white sky it breaks the blue up beautifully - I can only imagine how cold it was - you braved the elements & were rewarded with a great image of a winters day.
Kind regards,
Dawn.
