Photographer's Note
This scene was photographed in Stanley Park.
The plan for the day was to bike the Stanley Park seawall, a 10 km path filled with beautiful nature scenery. At the very start of the bike ride near the entrance to the Park, you have to ride across this small bridge. When i did, i noticed this...i couldn't help but get off the bike and take a few photos.
It was mid day, so the sun was really hot and bright, had to use the polarizer filter for sure. When i got home to look at my photos, i was surprised to see that i actually caught a double reflection in the water in the bottom right corner.
Thanks for looking! See you around!
Craig

Hello Craig,
Great point of view. This with the vertical position creates a nice depth in this picture (with a horizontal position the depth would have been less, and the picture would lost his calmness).
Also the composition and light are very good.
Friendly regards,

Hi Craig,
what I like the most here is the incredible light and atmosphere, it may be due to the polarization, I don't know but the colors became very unusual in a good sense.
The composition is brilliant with the tree branches cutting in from one side and the elegant modern architecture dominating the other side. The reflection is an extra bonus.
Beautiful work,
but I am mostly jealous of the weather. I have seen sun just shortly in the last few weeks.
Have a nice Sunday,
M

Hello Graig ,
Despite of your title , I think that reflections are not the most important feature here . But I like especially the contrast between the (looks like) wild nature in the FG , partially in the shade , with the luminous buildings in the BG .
Very well composed , too .

Bonjour, cher Graig,
Bravo !
Amitiιs.

Hello Craig,
The polarised sky contrast well with the greenery. The image is well composed making good use of the vertical frame. The double reflections are a great bonus.

Hello Craig!
The unique light is what I like the most in this picture. It probably is artificial, but still...it makes a great impact.

Hello Craig,
Good managing of light with the polarizer to avoid over-exposure but on the other hand you loose color saturation in such amount that the picture looks greyish. All color info is still there but you have to bring it out with post-processing. Otherwise a nice composition of the view, I hope you won't mind a little workshop just to compare.

Ciao dear Craig,
surely the double reflection is a detail that enriches the image, but the most amazing thing about this picture is the perfect sharpness and the beautiful light that illuminates the skyscrapers. You have captured an interesting composition, with a nice contrast between the modern architecture of the buildings and the green of this park. Excellent work, congratulations!
Ciao, have a nice Monday!

Hello Craig,
You were right to get off your bike.
The POV is excellent. So is the composition.
It's funny that you discovered the double reflection only after you've downloaded the pictures at home. I've also had some surprises, both pleasant and others :)
I like the fact that you managed to present this high rise with a very calm atmosphere.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Craig,
Interesting idea for this double water eyes. But most of all I like the wild way of the park in the middle of the city. Well catch, have a great day.

Hello Craig,
The double reflections are indeed a boon here but the photograph is stunning even without them.
The lighting, contrasts, colours and impeccable sharpness and detail add up to make his a beautiful picture. Composition, too, is excellent, the pointy tower of that distant building sitting exactly at the upper right "crossing point" of thirds.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Craig
Lovely composition to take advantage of the reflections. I like the perspective here and the way the eye is taken along to the nice buildings. The composition gives real depth to the shot. That's really pleasant park, the ponds of course in the foreground. For me those lovely buildings deserve a viewing on its own. But interesting to see your viewpoint too and those the reflected images, the polarizer did an excellent job in particualar to the near reflection. Great color, superb clarity and very well exposed. Great effort, Congrats

Hi Craig
This is a really wonderful view, one that I definitely have not seen before of your city. The reflections are a bonus and the sharpness is really impressive. You did really well with the harsh sun and I really like the Workshop where everything looks so bright.
Nice going! Have a great day

Hi Craig,
thanks to your magnificent photos of your city, I am discovering the beauty of Vancouver, especially of its architecture and its parks, which you show us always by means of a few very attractive compositions.
The reflections of these buildings on both ponds emphasize its interesting graphics, the light is balanced very well, the branches of the tree at left side of the framing add a good aesthetic complement, and the sky is very well polarized.
The composition is beautiful.
Best regards,
Josep
