Photographer's Note
In this photo I am playing with the compression factor at 400mm on these aspen trees. Because these trees are much smaller than my previous posting, they bend and twist in an ensemble. I have become fascinated with a quest to capture compositions like this. As always, if you see it first inside your minds eye, and keep looking for it....it will eventually come to you. Enjoy.

Hello Paul,
I can never tire of this dense field of birch trees. As always they are reminiscent of Bev Doolittle's paintings. Your note is useful. I had no idea that they would bend in ensemble.
Warm regards,

Hi Paul, An interesting picture, you have captured the beauty of nature in this photo with the wonderful detail of these Birch trees, it's a really chaotic shot, however there is still very good sharp quality & light, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Paul
Another different way to look at this forest of birch trees, more close up and including the green foliage
Again a nice graphical effect
Have a nice WE

Hi Paul,
Interesting shot, but really all I see is a bunch of sticks;) Why the fuss? Just kidding, the shot is great. I like th contrast of black and white with the green makes it pop.

Hi Paul,
With shots like this you practically have to look back into your eye's retina to really see how it interpret the image and your response to it. I like the vibrations it created and loved this kind of shots. Well seen!!!
Regards and a nice weekend.

Hello Paul,
A forest at its best!
Nice graphical effect of the many white trunks with their black lines and spots.
The picture would not be the same without the bright green that pops up in between.
Best regards, Paul

Dear Paul,
I think there's at least one passion that unites us - people of Nordic origin, and it's the Birch!
Where I was born (it's a land far away enough from centers of civilization-relatively close to Kotlas) there were the forest full of birches, how on your beautiful photo!
Thank you for emotions !
Have a nice weekend!
I.

Paul,
I really like the repetition of the vertical shapes in this photo. It has a stark yet whimsical quality. Groups of native birch trees are very rare in Alberta. Could these be trembling aspen?
