View from frozen shore of Lake Ontario from Saddington Park. In the background on the left skyline of Toronto, in the middle – ship Ridgetown. Ridgetown, Lake Bulk Freighter built in 1905, at a cost of $475,000, by the Chicago Shipbuilding Co.
On June 21, 1974 the Ridgetown was loaded with stone and sunk as a breakwater at the entrance to Port Credit Harbour (on the north shore of Lake Ontario just west of Toronto) with her cabins and stack still in place.

Bonjour Ziggy,
je resterai longtemps fascinι par la beautι des hivers canadiens, sans doutes trθs durs pour nous ΰ vivre car les froids y sont intenses.
Un mιlange de bleus et de blancs dans une exposition rιglιe de main de maitre.
J'aime beaucoup la prιcision du piquι qui montre les dιtails les plus intimes du givre.

If you hadn't have said anything I would of thought it was an active freighter passing by. Nicely done shooting through the branches. I especially like the ice covered shrub in the middle.

Hello Ziggy,
One notices initially this superb side light. I like the gray and blue tonalities of the image. The inclusion of the tree in the foreground, is better effect. Cheer.

Ziggy, what a great one you have here, I love the traditional great lakes freighter, even if she is permanently bearthed. The frozen nature of the land shows the extremes these hardy souls have to put up with. Great capture.
