Photographer's Note
Transplanted - part V
"Canada has never been a melting-pot; more like a tossed salad to my absolute delight"
Arnold Edinborough
And a delightful dish it is... 156 ethnics groups from every possible corner of the globe are registered officially in my country. Never counted 'em but it's so easy to spot 'em.
Every public gathering, celebration, show, sport event, political demonstration is such a marvelous portrait of types and races and colors and characters.

funny,
i though you'd continue with the rome pile, despite the announced break;
dont know why but immediatelly when seeing this image i though "it would be great to creat a canadian series about different types of people" and only then i ready the note and dicsovered the folder you have created with the whole set;
man, you love those people, and interesting that its not the first time that i notice how proud you sound about that canada place you live in at the moment;
(man, is there any picture without THOSE HUGE sunglasses you took in canada?)

George,
A country i'd love to visit. Teaching in career i have met a lot of good friends and would whole heatedly agree about the place being a melting pot of characters. A nice visual representation of this!
Cheers

I understand my film photos value better now. Oo man I like your style. My son promises me that he will keep my old, tens of hundred negatives in safe. This photo seems like 1970’s but its only 6 years ago. I like their really natural poses and colors. Congratulations.
Best Regards,
Parbo

George, tell me, do you sell sunglasses? HUGE sunglasses? (Thank you Jerzy B. for the right word!). ;)
A nice photo of Canadian specimen! Women if I'm not wrong. With a dignified attitude. And their american soft drinks! Lols!
I would like to have the courage to take photos of the people in bus. It is amazing the number of different ethnic groups you can find there. The beauty of the difference.
Your colors are so good. But hey, what a surprise!
By the way, why not putting this one in your theme?

Greetings George.
You photo really represents your not quite well. This is a very diverse group you show here. The POV is very well seen and the horizontal framing is excellent. I like the somewhat African themed shirt that the woman with the big hat has on. It is a little bit of a sign of unity...in my opinion.
Well done and good note.
Regards,
Chris

All the mountains and lakes and beautiful scenes, good city life - all of that is great but one of the things I most loved about Canada on my recent visits was the pride and joy I encountered in the multi-ethnic nature of the population and the commitment of ordinary people to the commonweal - to the betterment of everyday life for everyone - of course not everyone but for so many - even in a run down bar in East Vancouver some tough looking guy kindly told me it was time to put the camera away if I wanted to survive another five minutes!
Canadians - wherever they come from seem to like pretty girls too George.......

Good evening George!
Very well taken and composed photo. Lovely shot of waiting ladies. Good darker background contrasting nicely with the hats and the shirts. Great work!!
best regards
ziggy

I am laughing. Oh, if you love the beauty! Il "gentil sesso", I mean. Go and have a look to an italian dictionary for the translation. But bravo: I love this pic. This is Polonaise-Polonaise.
Nudo e crudo. And no, my dear: you don't find the translation of that. "Nudo e crudo" is just a wonderful , very significant italian phrase!
Ciao...
