Photographer's Note

This is a photo from my trip to BC in June/July of this year. I have been negligent in posting any of that week’s pictures with any regularity or in any order, and the choice to post this is random as well. This is the second of three lakes at Joffre Lakes, looking toward the glacier which is the grand prize that awaits you if you make it to the third. It is actually not a bad hike at all, and it ranks up there as one of my favorites out of the many hikes we took that week. The second lake is refreshing for its color and this view, and also (as those who have been there will attest) for it’s lack of mosquitoes that make the first lake so memorable.

I didn’t need any saturation generally for this shot (the green is authentic). I did have to select and lighten the evergreens which had come out much too dark in the original.
