Photographer's Note
Historic Haynes Ranch built in 1882 at the edge of the Okanagan desert just a few miles north of Osoyoos, British Columbia. This tumbledown home is one of only three buildings that remain of Judge Haynes' ranch that was built with lumber barged down the river from Okanagan Mission near Kelowna. This heritage ranch home is to be restored, although I would say it should happen sooner than later as the condition of the structure appears to be deteriorating rapidly. Hello Gerald,
Looks in a very sad state. Nevertheless, it makes an interesting study in tones and textures. A fine composition with pleasing warm colours and very good clarity.

hello Gerald,
How much for the house 10-15 $? This thing seems quite dangerous! It makes quite a good photo though! It seems to be hot in summer!
TFS
Have a great day!

It's wonderful and exciting to read that this unique place will be restored and enjoyed by many in years to come. Lovely colors and detail. TFS

It does appear to be in a sorry state. Just as well it is fenced off for safety. It looks to be an interesting design and well worth preserving. You chose a good POV to make the most of two sides.
It reminds me of the Moulton Barn at Grand Tetons.

Hi Gerald,
It looks like it used to be quite a fine old house. It's interesting the difference between East Coast style and West Coast style. My husband's grand father built his house in Nova Scotia in the late 1800's. The Barn was built of hand-hewn 12x12's held together with pegs. New England It has collapsed but the typical 2 story white clapboard still stands and was habitable in 2007.
This one looks like it's pretty well past restoration; more like the makings of a fine bonfire.

Hi Gerald,
nice reportage shot as presentation too, of this old and abandon Haynes Ranch. The good perspective and POV create a good knowledge of its dimensions.I like the good management of the clarity and sharpness as the vivid colours and the light.Well done.
Have a nice week,Danos

Hi Gereald, Interesting piece of the old rural architecture. It is a pity that it seems to be the end of this historic ranch. Great composition. Regards

Hi Gerald
I have taken shots of this relic myself and I have to agree it is almost too late to restore this building. A nice array of brown tones.

Bonour Gerald,
eu de verdure, une rιgion aride ?
Beau rendu de la texture du bois. Contraste bien avec le bleu du ciel. Une vue charmante malgrι le dιlabrement.

Hello Gerald,
Indeed a rural historic barn, almost a ruin.
I fiel me back to my children time, the cowboy movies with John Wayne.
Composition and colours are pleasant for look at.
Best regards,
John.

Hi Gerald
Il semble un peu tard pour la restauration, ce qui est bien dommage, de bons dιtails et couleurs, et comme toujours le cadrage parfait

Hello Gerald,
What a beautiful photo of this old barn almost blending in with the scenery. Great POV and wonderful contrast with the sky. The light and details are fantastic as well. Great work!

Hi Gerald,
Love this tattered old barn on the leeward side of B.C.
The rich golden tones to the old structure are very well seen against the lovely blue sky.
The fence makes a very nice lead-in to this fine historic image.

Salut Gerald

Hi Gerald,
I don't know I'll be afraid to walk in there for it may just come down when I breath to hard :) I love the rustic colors and I can certainly imgine it's glorious past. Good composition, good light and beautiful blue sky. the shadow area is a bit too dark. Otherwise, good shot.

Hello Gerald,
This is an interesting piece of the history of settlement, and it is a bit sad to see the state this building is in..!
The point of view works well to show the details in what is left of the house...
A balanced composition and fine colour reproduction!
Greetings,
