Photographer's Note
Anyone that has visited or is at all familiar with the Fraser Valley in southern British Columbia will have seen Mount Baker, towering high above the hills to the south. This shot overlooking the valley was taken from a high point on the east side of the city of Abbotsford.
"Wikapedia" After descending through the rapids of the Fraser Canyon, the Fraser River emerges almost at sea level at Yale, over 100 km inland. Although the canyon in geographic terms is defined at ending at Yale, Hope is generally to be considered the southern end of the canyon, partly because of the change in the character of the highway from that point , and perhaps also because it is at Hope that the first floodplains typifying the course of the Lower Fraser are found. Downstream from Hope, the river and adjoining floodplains widen considerably in the area of Rosedale, Chilliwack and Agassiz, which is considered the head of the Fraser Delta. From there the river passes through some of the most fertile agricultural land in British Columbia—as well as the heart of the Metro Vancouver region—on its way through the valley to its mouth at Georgia Strait.

This is a great landscape shot with the farmland in the foreground providing a patchwork design and the snow capped mountain towering above. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness.

The valley looks so flat with hardly a wrinkle and then the mountains rise straight up until we get to Mount Baker, resplendent in its winter coat. Excellent shot.

Bonjour Gerald,
il ressort trθs bien ce sommet avec cette neige, trθs blanche et pas facile ΰ calibrer. Un cadrage parfait, un avant plan qui donne de la profondeur, contraste entre plaine et montagne.

Wonderful contrast between the plain "civilized" and virgin mountains.
The perspective is great.
These days I have seen a documentary about British Columbia, is a wonderful place with wonderful landscapes. If you ever go to Canada, will be the first thing you will visit.
