Finally, snow!
It's winter here now, and once the clouds had gone away it turned out to be a gorgeous day. Looking around, on every side all you can see are mountains like this, kind of dominating over the valley and the little farm houses.

Very majestic photograph. The use of the skylight filter adds just enough warmth to the sky and still enabling detail under the mountain. Man I want to visit.

This photo shows off the grandure of the mountains well. I like the two different tones of clouds in the sky, and the view of the small houses below really show off the perspective.

First off relaize that the 300D Kit lens is a bit soft. If you can shoot at F8 it will help a little. Try adding a little USM and you might be a little happier with your results. I think you took this shot from Annis Rd where teh open field shows this view. I have been there many times. My looking at the snow on the field I think you took your pic about the same time I took mine. I shot mine from Prest Rd access. By shooting higher it tends to add a little more perspective.
