I was in Waterton on Sunday and was trying to get some pictures with my new digital camera. I caught a few before it died on me. Who knew you had to charge the batteries?!

The vista is very nice, well composed, taken in the fine conditions of alpenglow as the last rays enlighted the distant peaks. However, the image is very noisy. I think You set too high iso value. It is said, that 200 iso is the upper limit for landscape photography. If there is not enough light at the moment, You should use a tripod.

is that a moon?! excellent composition, christan! :-)
wonderful landscape with the diagonal darkgreen trees on the
right and the high mountains with the last golden light of the day.
there is a slight noise, maybe due to the ISO640, but that
is somehow cool, makes the photo look more like a painting,
especially with the lightblue sky and its white stripes of clouds.

Good morning Christan.
A very good framed photo. The light is good controled, the view is wonderful. Very very good seen with the moon in the sky. The noise is a little bit more but it is OK.

After your critique, I thought I'd check out what kind of pictures you have. Apparently they're amazing. I'm a big mountain/sunset fan, and this one is amazing. I like the softness of the picture, and the mellow colours. It seems very tranquil,
