Photographer's Note
La Place publique du Vieux-Saint-Jean a été créée en 2004 et est constituée d’un parc d’ornementation et d’un amphithéâtre de 250 places qui accueille des spectacles en tout genre. La Société de développement du Vieux-Saint-Jeananime cet espace durant la période estivale avec sa programmation d’Un Été Show. Elle offre un panorama intéressant sur la rivière Richelieu, le canal de Chambly, la rive est de la rivière et l’église Saint-Athanase.

La largeur de la rivière crée de la profondeur. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de la sculpture. Le reflet de la lumière sur la neige met valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Serge, that recreational area situated on the lake shore is less active in winter. The lawns and the benches are covered with snow. Nice sculpture displayed in the fg. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, amitié.

Bonjour Serge,
It looks as if you have already experienced a heavy fall of snow, evident from the deep, soft layers in the f/g.
The sculpture is strongly placed in the frame and makes a very good focal point. It appears as if the figure is successfully holding out a hand to catch the snow.
The blues and greys, in the b/g, continue the impression of 'cold'.

Always nice to look at chilly snow scenes like this on a hot summer's day of 34c in the southern hemisphere. The statue looks as though it's holding out a hand testing for snowflakes, or to hold a passing bird, but I am sure they have long since flown south. Tfs!
