On voit partiellement à gauche le Mont-Radar, appelé ainsi, car durant la Guerre froide, de 1952 à 1964, une base militaire de communication administrée par la « Royal Canadian Air Force » y est installée. Son rôle est de constituer un bouclier d’observation et de communication.
Entre 1951 et 1964, la population composée des militaires, jouissait des avantages d'une communauté puisque elle était dotée d'une école, de commerces, d'un lieu de culte, d'une salle de sport et de lieux de convivialité.
Ce type de base d'observation au sol fut démantelé au profit des satellites et l'armée canadienne acheva le démantèlement du Mont Radar en 1967.

On the left, a partial view of the Mount-Radar, called thus, because during the Cold war, of 1952 to 1964, a military base of communication managed by “Royal Canadian Air Force” is installed there. Its role is to constitute a shield of observation and communication.
Between 1951 and 1964, the population made up of soldiers, built a community equipped with a school, trades, a place of worship, a sports hall, and social centre.
This type of base on the ground was dismantled with the profit of the satellites and the Canadian army completed the dismantling of the Mount Radar in 1967.

Les réflexions dans l'eau sont des atouts à la composition. Les arbres cadrent bien le lac. La prise de vue dirige notre regard vers la maison et la montagne ce qui donne de la profondeur à la composition. Une bonne gestion de la lumière qui met en valeur les couleurs du paysage. Bonne journée.

Hi Denis,
Beautiful nature shot and wonderful blue and green colors, A very nice reflection on the water and great POV along with the note. We have a couple of old radar stations in this area and the housing then has been sold to private home owners now. Great job Denis. Have a great weekend.

fantastic composition. Mainly due to a perfect reflection which makes it so symmetrical.
I love the colors and the quality of the shot.
The cloud enriches it as well, without it, it may have been much less interesting.

Trois éléments,à mon avis,favorisent la qualité de cette image.Premièremnt,le gros nuage à gauche.Deuxièmement,les deux bâtiments blancs et troisièmement,cette eau calme qui permet le reflet des deux premiers éléments.Belle composition et bon timing.Bravo!
