Photographer's Note
A few days before the start of the 2004 Quιbec to Saint-Malo Transat sailboat race. This is the "Maritime Rendezvous", the ten days before the race when a wide range of maritime-theme activities and festivities took place at the Transat kick-off site in the heart of the Port of Quebec.
Note: The satellite photos used on Google maps must have been taken during the few days leading up to the race as you can see all the sailboats tied up in the harbor. Click the "View Map" link to see the exact location where this photo was taken.

Hello Tim, and welcome to TE! This is a very nice first posting - I love the subtle colours which create a mood of calmness. Reflections are lovely and you've used the yacht in the foreground well to "anchor" the shot (excuse the pun!).
ps : I also like very much the quote you've used in your intro.

I like your framing on this shot! It must be a lovely view unto the harbour from those big buildings in the background! Boats in harbours have a peace about them which I love, maybe thats just the yachtie in me though.. Cheers, Damien

Boring, and bland. This shot could have been made brighter by changing the contrast. Try that next time.
