MONTREAL... the largest francophone city in the world after Paris...

MONTREAL... a cosmpolitic mix of people from all around the world, but still - a city with unmistakeably latin feel...

hotel de ville de MONTREAL protecting my back. in 1967, it is from it's balcony that Charles de Gaulle, then president of France, gave his famous VIVE LE QUEBEC LIBRE speach.

an enjoyable evening in MONTREAL...

just la MARSEILLEUSE is missing... alas, cannot have all... a street musician singing Eagles' songs behind the frame on the left had to do... :)

multiplicity...

* a french naval hero having distinguished himself in the 7 year war against the british. the statue is wisely situated directly across from the statue of admiral nelson... i guess, PUN intended... ;)) unfortunately could not fit nelson's statue in the main shot, so i added it in a workshop post.

** the same fountain a couple hours later can be seen in this foto, i posted a couple days ago.
