Umoja - The Spirit of Togetherness

This photo was taken at the Toronto Elgin Theatre. This was an incredible show, and would highly recommend seeing it if it comes to your town.

Umoja is the story of the music of South African people, from tribal times until today. The creators, Todd Twala and Thembi Nyandeni bring to stage a cast, many of whom came from disadvantaged communities, to present the best of South African popular music. From Pata Pata to Pantsula Jive, from the Venda Snake Dance to the sounds of Ladysmith Black Mambozo, the music lives on and has captured the heart of the world.
