Photographer's Note

This photo was taken at the Metro Toronto Zoo.
It was taken a few minutes after this one.

After hours of swinging, climbing and playing, this little baby was ready for a snack. The zoo keepers place hidden fruits around the entire exibit for them to find. She just happened to find an orange.

Although orangutans are omnivorous, their main food is fruit (60%), young leaves (25%), flowers and bark (10%) insects, mainly ants, termites, and crickets (5%) and the occasional egg. When they can catch them, they also eat young birds and small mammals.

**Interesting Fact - The word orangutan translates as "Person of the Forest" in Malay and Indonesian.

**Post Pro - Cropped, removed the noise from background, and AutoLevels.
