English version:

A little message to those who think of becoming the masters of the world by bombarding the others:

DO NOT TOUCH TO YEMEN !!!

I see with a jaundiced eye the decison of the United States to send armed forces to Yemen...- in all the territories that they have touched previously: Vietnam, Latino-american countries, Iraq, Afghanistan,... they have wreaked havoc and let desolation behind. I would be horrified to see the architectural and human treasure of this country flying in dust!

Just like I would see with a jaundiced eye the infiltration of armed fighters and integrist ideologists, coming from the Afghanistan of the talibans, Iraq, Somalia or elsewhere, and their progressive moral seizure on the country; which has more to lose, than to gain, with their presence on the Yemeni ground.

...I wish that Yemen, its mosques and minarets, can be saved from the war that deliver to each other, on the back of the yemeni people, Bin Laden and Uncle Ben & Jerry...

Nobody seems able to agree on what is sacred, and it is really a pity. Because there are places that should be preserved from any deterioration. Thulla, in my mind, should be one of those.

Thulla is a village with a lot of character, in the north of Sana'a, in the surroundings of Kawkaban. The architecture, here, differs from what we can see in Sana'a or in the Harraz mountains, south of the capital. It looks very warm, but the climate is rather harsh because the village is perched at the altitude of 2700 m.

Today, it's friday. I include the pic in my theme: Minaret my love. And I take advantage to recall that Islam is not the property of the muslim integrists, as Christianity is not the property of the christian integrist.
