Photographer's Note
This is one of my favorite towns in Yemen. The town of Tawila which is encompassed of a lower city and an upper city sitting on top of a mountain. The market was bustling specially with lifestock due to the upcoming Eid celebrations. This man was proudly walking his latest purchase.

Great POV Daniel and a fantastic cast of characters laid out against the background of their environment - great dynamic framing which gives a real sense of movement and life beyond the frame despite the seeming static nature of the participants........nice work mate!

A fine close up of this young man and a nice perspective of other people, animals and houses. Yemen is truly one of the greatest countries.

Hi Daniel! excellent frame. A picture of street with the persons and the cow, and the house, in a composition that if it has also strange POV gives Local authority the elements of region with a way good and very clean, image well done

Hi Daniel,
Really like this one, plenty of life and colour shown here...you give a nice crisp appearance to an area which usually is portrayed as a more gritty area. Excellent use of what I assume is a polariser.
By the way, we're expecting to be in Toulouse in early April...hopefully you'll be around then so we can catch up.

Yemenis have such distinctive fashion don't they ... it is like nowhere else in the middle-east. I enjoy this picture a lot and makes me interested in going to Yemen one day!

Daniel: there is an implicit residue of a flair flash here, but I think that was not the case. This is the sort of complicated, almost journalistic stuff, we're all starting to fully respect and emulate. This is a tremendous image. regards, c

This is an outstanding POV and composition. It is a amazing how they are all very well dressed up for the market day. It must be very important for them. The building behind is impressive and the bit of blue sky gives that extra colour we all like to see. Very well done.

Hola Daniel.
Me encanta el POV este. La ϊnica lαstima es que el mozalbete de la derecha no te estuviera mirando si no ya te mueres.
Pero bien, bien, me gusta.
Un saludo, Oscar

Bonjour Daniel
Deep blue of the sky is fascinating me. A look of father at the center that seems to be gentle is wonderful. Fill flash is also used effectively.
Splendid work!
Have a nice day, Hisashi

Hi Daniel,
at first I looked to see if you had used fill in flash here as it is a really journalistic style of shot. You should be proud of this decisive moment. Great clarity and colours. Brilliant.
Best regards,
Mark

Hola Daniel, cordial saludo
Felicidades, John

Hi Daniel,
Any photo taken in that street by a good photographer like you, would be quite interesting i guess. Cow-level-POV is really nice and adds much charm to the result. The three figures, goats, fascinating architecture and the polarized sky are other fine elements which i like. The yellow rope is a very clever idea to liven up the compo.
Cheers,
Deniz

This shot is just so FULL - full of information about the Yemeni way of life; the architecture, the clothes, traditional weaponry, livestock, how life is lived on the streets. Quite a feat to pack all that into one frame!
I think it's excellent - makes me want to go there.
It looks to me like you used flash, and I'd have preferred it if you'd reduced the flash output a stop or so, just so it's use was less obvious, while still lighting the foreground.
Apart from that, it's an outstanding piece of work Daniel, well done.
Cheers,
Ben

Magnifique.
