Photographer's Note
I’ve got you under my skin
I’ve got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart, that you’re really a part of me
I’ve got you under my skin
I’ve tried so not to give in
I’ve said to myself this affair never will go so well
But why should I try to resist, when baby will I know than well
That I’ve got you under my skin...

Wow ! Some would say this picture is nothing for TE. Maybe they are right. But in this case it´s such a perfect picture that we can be lucky that you decided to show us this picture. That´s real life!! You can feel the concentration and the responsebility of the doctors. Congratulatios for that perfect life shot !!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow

Sevgili Korkut,
Tebrikler
Selam ve sevgiler

Hi Korkut,
I would not know why this would not be suitable for TrekEarth. It's life, it's how it is in all its facets and it is wonderfully captured with a feel for dignity as well. Not showing more of the patient, but focussing on the work of the specialists.
The workshop doesn't do it for me. Has to do with the positioning of the heads of the specialists. Here the compo just comes together and the colours are very pleasant. Nice one. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Merhaba Korkut,

Merhaba Korkut,
It's not exactly the kind of picture I like to look at, especially before a meal, but to me it tells a lot more about the world than the countless flowers we see here day after day, because it documents a moment that we as patients do not normally see (and it's better so !). Good close framing so that we can "enjoy" the details... hope you'll never be sued for having forgotten a memory card in a patient ;-)
Have a nice evening JY

Hi Korkut,
My mother is an anaesthetist, she often tells stories from the hospital that's why I don't like anything from there. I also find your subject disgusting.
But!
This is life! We all have a heart! We all need the doctors to cure us and save our lives! They're all heroes! So I think you didn't do it wrong when you uploaded this photo. It can belong to TE!
The photo itself is also fantastic: the POV, the composituon, the lights, the colours, everything!
Thank you very very much for sharing!!!

Merhaba Korkut,
This is a sensational image, and one the sort of thing that I like very much to see. Among the thousands of intelligent members of Trekearth there is such great variety and expertise. A photograph of this quality of such a specialized trade is something few of us would ever see. Although I must admit for this new book on Leonardo that the National Geographic is publishing we are cobbling together great Renaissance art and world class National Geographic photographs, and we are trying to show what a resolutely modern man Leonardo was. For several years a Cambridge University cardiac surgeon has been doing mitral valve repairs, inspired by drawings and words of Leonardo. He has done over 250 successful operations. I wrote a sidebar for the book in which I presented Leonardo's drawings of the heart, along with my CAT-scan images of beating heart that my son gave me. I could rotate the heart horizontally and vertically to get just the right configuration to match Leonardo's drawings.
Fabulous photograph! Thank you sincerely for sharing it with us.

Fotoğrafın yarısı karanlıkta ve yarısı güçlü lambaların aydınlatmasındayken çok güzel pozlanmış ve renkler çok güzel çıkmış bence. Bu fotoğraf buraya uygunmu? Muhtemelen uygun. Korkut,
a surprising deep look in to the chest for a thymectmoy, unless it must have been a very large thymoma or my ignorance in surgical aspects of medicine. My practice is more to treat people with pills and such to avoid the acute myasthenic attacks. Anatomy isn't so important in this part. More important are the considerations of side effects, receptors, blockers, etc and yet I can appreciate the beauty of this moment that you cpatured so vividly and in full colors.

Dear Korkut,
I think this is suitable for TE but I understand that some people will not like to look at it. I personally am fascinated by the medical things and I use to look at operations in documentaries on TV and I admire the skills and nerves it takes to do this work. I had no idea documentary pics were taken:-) Well, in addition to the very interesting informative side, it's also a good pic, with flamboyant colors against a dark background. It's impressive to see how the person is strapped to the table...Great piece of life and I hope this person is fine now...and I like the note too.

I cringe when I see images like this, Korkut (no way I could be a surgeon like you!), but it is educational and technically an excellent photograph (very good light management in particular). Yes, this is "learning about the world through photography" but it might be stretching the definition of a "travel photograph" a bit ;) Oh well, you can always post it to TL if Adam bumps it from TE.

Hi Dr. Kasap!
Paparazzism, pro-gay (What happened to Mrs. Bangladesh btw?) and pro-greek propaganda (Greek and gay: Isn’t it almost the same?), porn and splatter!!!! What the hell will come next!?!? I bet some people think that you are the most unscrupulous, immoral photographer on TE. Which to be is a great honour of course.
About the photo: It’s tough (for non butchers), though great. To post such a shot was an unorthodox, genius idea. What you show to us is a part of life – unfortunately. From a technical and aesthetical POV the shot is excellent executed. Especially lighting is great. The coloured headscarf of the doctor on the left fits perfectly into the overall composition and adds a strange cheerful tone to the rather unpleasant happening. (Was this arranged or a coincidence?)
Cheers

Why not suitable for TE? Others flaunt the rules, but post mediocre images. You on the other hand, post nothing short of miraculous photos. What's unpleasant, it's just life. Fantastic light, clarity, and the usual emphasis on vivid colours. I envy you all your special talents.

I admire, like you made of the given environment not only a striking image of the operation, however also a very appealing color composition. Excellent work, well done. Kind regards, Michael
