This is another shot from my 2005 Black Sea Tour in Turkey.

Uzungφl (Long lake in Turkish) is a village and lake situated to the south of the city of Trabzon in Turkey. Over the years it has become a major tourist attraction.
The area is most famous for its natural beauty. Located in a valley between high rising mountains, the lake and village appear innaccessible at first. The surrounding greenery of the mountain forests and the fog that occasionally envelopes the lake at night also add to the mystic scenery of the area. In winter time, the lake freezes over and the entire village can become covered with snow.
In recent years a major tourist boom has attracted a number of hotels, restaurants and gift and souvenir shops to be built in the area. The transport infrastructure has also been greatly improved. However all of this development has been carefully planned not to encroach upon the village or the lake itself. The developments lie behind the village itself, perhaps 300 metres from the lake.

Hi Tolga
Nice shot, very atmospheric. The village with its pretty buildings, and the dark green of the conifers on the steep slopes frame the lake perfectly. I like the use of the big expanse of foreground water to lead the eye in. The scene is made especially mysterious and interesting by the shroud of mist or low cloud.

Hi Chris,
Uzungφl looks like a pretty destination for tourists. The fog gives the scene an athmospheric and romantic mood. Good capture my friend. I like this better than the cropped version in WS. Best wishes.

Hello Chris,
A very moody landscape photograph!
After a summer of continuing sunshine I finally had the opportunity to shot some foggy sceneries yesterday... this one is very good!
Well framed with nice foreground interest, good details in spite of low lighting!
