Only in the Marmara Sea, with the entry of the Bosphorus, meadows of the tower of Kiz Kulesi or Turn of Lιandre located on a rock small island not far from the coast.
According to Greek mythology, Hιros locked up in this tower clarified of a lantern the way of his Lιandre beloved who came to join it with the stroke during the night. One night, the storm extinguished the lantern and Lιandre drowned.
According to the Turkish version, oracles having predicted with an emperor byzantin that his daughter would perish pricked by a snake, this one locked up it in this tower, but a snake which slipped into the fruit basket sent by the lover of the princess showed that one cannot escape the destiny.
In fact, the Tower of Lιandre with always made function of headlight. In certain periods it was used as place of forty. The current building built in XIXe century by Mahmut II, is the symbol of the Bosphorus.
