Photographer's Note
Situated on the edge of the Goreme National Park, Uηhisart is dominated by a 60-meter-high castle hill in the form of a large cylindrical tower visible from a great distance. This mountain is crossed by a number of underground passages and rooms, which today are mostly closed or impassable. They served as a residential area as well as a monastery in Byzantine times. Originally about 1,000 people lived in the castle, but today they no longer live. The landscape is also marked by the fairy chimneys scattered on it.
ARCHITECTURE
The castle has a stunning and breathtaking architectural style. There is a cave in three special ways, a huge common room and a guard room. The path of the cave is covered with stones. With the exception of the cave, the castle contains passageways, but some were full of debris. It even includes secret tunnels with a honeycomb structure that the locals built to hide from the warriors. But these tunnels are very narrow, which told a lot of legends about it. One such story; once the dwarves lived there and established these tunnels according to their size.
The places UNESCO World Heritage.

Hello Csaba, what an amazing place, and quite a steep climb to the top I imagine.
The shot looks even better in the large version where we can fully appreciate all the features of this hill.
I cannot recall ever seeing this before, so thanks for sharing.
Excellent sharp shot.
Kind regards, Jean.

Nagyon lαtvαnyos erődνtmιny. Kicsit arra az αltalαnos iskolai tankφnyvben lαtott illusztrαciσra emlιkeztet, ahogyan a Bαbel tornyot αbrαzoltαk.

Hello Csaba,
A few persons are included at the top and the bottom of the rock. They give us a good idea of the size of Uηhisar castle mountain.
Great view with a glimpse of the valley behind the rock.
Wonderful and impressive!
Best regards, Paul
