Mamure Castle - Anamur

It is situated nearly at the 7th km. southeast of Anamur. The castle was constructed by the Romans in the 3rd century A.C. The castle has 39 towers and while one half of it is surrounded by the sea, the other half is surrounded by a ditch. It is consisted of 3 courtyards.

Mamure Kalesi, Anamur'un yaklasik 7 km. gόneydogusunda Anamur - Bozyazi karayolunun kiyiya kavustugu yerde bulunmaktadir. M.S. III. yόzyil basinda Romalilar tarafindan yapilmistir. Daha sonra Bizanslilar tarafindan kullanilan kale 1221'de Selηuklularin eline geηince kalenin iηine camii, disina da hamam yapilmistir. Bir yarisi denizle, bir yarisi hendekle ηevrili bulunan 3 avludan olusmus 39 kuleli kale gόnόmόze kadar saglam kalabilmistir.
