Photographer's Note
Since the photos I uploaded yesterday did not do justice to the stained glass, I am uploading details showing the stained glass on the kiblah side of Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque. The left one is a photo of the stained glass on top of the mihrap (the niche in the middle). The right one is one of the two windows on both sides of the mihrap.

Hello Murat,
I love stained glass and the artistry with which it is used. These examples are generally different from those found in Christian churches, relying very much on patterns, rather than telling a story.
These are sharply captured.
I like the unusual lacy effects achieved around the edges, whilst the coloured details occur in a central rectangle.

WE don't often see photos of stained glass windows in mosques so these are good interesting photos with a good one looking up into the dome as well.

Quite original design of the stained windows indeed. They have a lot of elements which make them different from what I am used to see in Europe. The top arch is sharp, that is first but the whole design appears exotic,
