Photographer's Note

Shop of a coppersmith in the town of Mudurnu, Bolu province.
It is not anymore so easy to find such traditional workshops in Turkey nowadays. The photo was taken in 2001, but nearly everything in the picture seems to belong to another age. Note the large copper hoods which are used on top of mosques and minarets. The owner of the shop or his ancestors must have been for quite some time in the branch, because his familyname is "Aribakir" ("Beecopper").
