I find this picture very touching. It shows a different side of the conflict. It gives soldiers a heart and a soul...somethign is often left out in all the news coverage. I like the highlights in her hair and the how well she keeps her nails even though she is probably trained to shoot and kill. In the perfect world, teenagers are allowed to be teenagers... instead of the weight of a country on their backs.

Great picture Gilad, there is so much emotion. I know how it felt when I had to leave home for Iraq. Keep up the good work.

Hi Gilad, very tender, and your note so true.
I espescially like it that you rotated the picture to the portrait format, it would have been quite different when you had chosen to upload the landscape.

Precious picture Gilad! Glad you are willing to serve your country even though it means a time of sacrifice for you and your family. Your picture has inspired me to creat a new group theme folder which I have entitled "aNyThInG eXtReMeLy pReCiOuS" and is the first entry in the folder. God's best to you always,
Tim

Shalom Gilad,
This is such a wonderful picture in so many ways I don't know where to start.
From the compostition point of view it is very well done, the position of the girl even cutting part of her head and her arm is so original and fitting to the picture.
The subject is just so touching, both the girl and the dog seem sad, maybe they both want to go home.
You have managed to show humanity in the Israeli army, touching photo.
Regards
Daniel

Everything has been said already, except that... I'm quite stunned too. Emotion, sadness, love, care... very touching!

Really nice and cute. Good idea to put the photo on vertical position. Nice comment, I share your opinion.

Hi Gilad.
Somehow it looks a strange photo, but I love it.
The composition is good and you were so and so close.
Well done.
