Fantastic light on this one Chen. I love the way the rays of light break down through the clouds. Good job capturing it. In general superb ob on exposition. Getting the silhouttes, the clouds, the rich texture on the water and the above-mentioned light properly exposed in the same frame must have been a challenge. But you pulled it of to perfection.

As for the composition, it is also very good. The family 'leaving the frame' add some dynamics to the scene. And the boat in the background provides soem balance to the image. Great work!

Such a strong shot here Chen with that strong negative space at the bottom of the shot. You've managed to capture the sunrays well which can be sometimes hard to do.

Love it Chen! Simplicity of the lines, magic light, silhouettes perfectly placed (no overlap) and the sigle sailboat well placed in the frame also. Perfect composition.
Looking at it, I can feel the quietness, the peace. I am grateful for that...

Very nice work here, The layers of tone and texture are nice--the flat back, the light waves on the gray sea, the crepuscular rays against a soft gray, and then the heavy clouds. i like how the rays lead from the boat to the family, silhouetted nicely against the sea.

A stunning shot, heavy with atmosphere and a sense of doom almost (perhaps because of your choice of tones...)The light shafts coming down diagonally on the strollers below is extarordinary, with a kind of Biblical quality.

Hello Chen,
Going through your nice gallery, I discovered this image that I really love.
The silhouettes of the parents taking care of their children and the boat going away at the opposite can appeal for many symbolic explanations.
On top of this, the rays of the sun coming by transparency from the sky enhances the fantastic atmosphere of the scene.

Great result, first for the composition but especially for the B&W treatment. You've create a nice structure, sea boat and family walking, in which you add a deep and dark shadows that enhance this scene. Rays of light move your attention from people walking to the boat.
It's very well done.
