Photographer's Note
Groom in black suit, bride in white dress ("painted" by the low sun), which I found symbolically linked in love by that piece of cloth, as they prepare for some wedding day photos at sunset time.
This promenade in the old port area has become very popular with couples, which sometimes really "infest" it; this is actually good because they can often provide photo opportunities.
Have a great Valentine's Day!

Hello Daniel
An excellent setting, the couple is placed perfectly in the frame and they really get the full attention.
The low light conditions work great in this case, especially when it comes to give the bride's dress a softer look.
Background is simple and it helps keep the attention on the couple.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi daniel
I like the frontlight, & long, late afternoon shadows. Good sharpness & perfect symmetry of the couple. Tfs!

hi daniel,
could have been such a great valentine photo if...if only you moved few steps aside allowing the gentleman having his head human rather than extracerrestial with that street lamp sticking out :-))
missed opportunity, i think...
best wishes, j.

The warm light really contributes to the success of this shot, and works well with the romantic theme of the image.
The unusual lamposts would have been useful to frame the couple with, one on each side. Stepping to the left would have enabled you to use the lamposts as a framing device, and also and perhaps more importantly, avoid having one of them growing out of the poor groom's head!
If there were two lamposts close together you could have given him a set of insect antennae!
It's a good lesson on the importance of checking the background, Daniel.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Daniel
This shot reminds me very much of a Jack Vettriano painting. It must be the subject and the lighting. Very beautiful and a fitting posting for today!
Best wishes

A good shot with the lighting at the right time of day and the wide composition.
A slight step to the left....or waiting a bit to let the scene recompose itself would have avoided the pole at the left appearing to come out of the man's head.
I know all that is easier said than done...so I'll just say...
Great Job.
Aloha, JB

Hi Daniel,
A photo allegoric and adapted for Valentine's Day. It is a very funny image and where the low light of the Sun gives a few warm tones and a few very nice shades.
Very well caught the moment.

Josep

Hi Daniel,
What a beautiful and romantic photo. Apart from the genuine chemistry between the two, what catches my eye is the heavenly light that you have here creating those long but soft shadows.

Hi Daniel
In the warm low sunlight, this is pleasing. I agree with Jerzy & Ben about using the lampposts as a framing device, but then I would also imagine you did not have all the time in the world! A good apt post for the day.

Hi, Daniel.
Excellent compo, indeed. The silk piece in diagonal makes a great work, as well as the soft light.
