Photographer's Note
This is Bam Citadel or as locally called the Arg-e Bam, before the terrible earthquake that rocked this old city down. This was the oldest ever standing citadel made of clay and raw bricks in the world. It was inhabited until almost a century ago. We are happy to hear that this scrumbled Cuitadel is under reconstruction and will erect again to remind us the old architecture.

An amazing 'sand castle' like citadel - nice capture. I think theres a slight lean to the left which could be straightened, but otherwise a timeless shot.

Nice shown with the buildings below the citadel. Good to hear that it's gonna be reconstructed. Take look at my photos from there.
The picture could be sharper a little and there some dark spots in the sky that you could have clonned out.Greets

Hi Ali,
I like the granulated look of this pastel photo. I guess it's a scan from paper. I'm still busy to take a more careful look at your posts, which deserve attention and send you always to readings about the persian culture (and others, of course). Over 30 countries visited... Inpresive. When will you put Romania on the agenda.

Excellent panorama of the citadel of Bam.
Unfortunatley earthquakes are the nature of our geography and we have to learn to live with them.
