Photographer's Note
This is a traditional cooler. Strange? I call it air shaft, wind catcher or as locally is called BADGIR. In central Iranian desert architecture houses have at leat one air shaft which is catching winds from different directions and directs them into the house rooms. This is one of the complicated multi direction air shafts in Kashan. The photo has been scanned and blured.

Hi Ali,
You know this is such a terrific looking building and you've done really well with getting the clarity so clear. What spoils the image is that you have boxed the building in...it doesn't breathe well in such a tighly croppped frame....it should have some sky above it, with perhaps some more space on either side of the structure. If your photo was originally in a portrait form - you should have left it.

Dear Ali Akbar,
Very nice and vivid!
Light and shadow made it more powerful and overall it is a very good architectural photo.
I have seen something like this in Mahan, Shah-Ne’maat-ol-laah-e-valii.
The blue color of sky is a good point and you did well with light and colors.
I think so that it could be so much better with a little free space around (sky).
I think Kashan is in Esfahan, right?

Hi Ali,
I think it is a nice photo. I agree that there should be more breathing room, and maybe a run in NeatImage and a sharpen. However, the stunning view makes up for those technical imperfections in my mind. It reminds me of the snow castles we used to build when we were kids, of course they were not as big ;).
So if I understood correctly, this is not a house?
It is a very interesting building though.

This is a building whose window vents catches wind? I want one of these! It's so hot right now in New Jersey! Hot, muggy, and humid! Iranian architects throughout history were clever and artistic artisans. Taj Majal is one example. Thanks for sharing! - Mike O.
