Photographer's Note

During my recent visit to Cyprus I spent a couple of days in Kyrenia, known in Turkish as Girne, on the north coast of the island.

Girne (Kyrenia) was the nicest place I saw in Cyprus, less characterized by mass scale package tourism than the southern seaside towns. Along the sea people were strolling leisurely and local men were trying to catch some fish. Not even the policemen seemed burdened by a lot of work.

Two workshop photos will show you more anglers in Girne.
