Photographer's Note

Lochain na h'Achlaise, Rannoch Moor

Needless to say about this location.

One of the most recognisable (and unfortunately heavily overcrowded) places in Scottish Highlands with people virtually cueing to capture the famous “Lonely Tree” :)

As I am personally bored to death with it - I wanted to put some breath of fresh air and show you this place from a slightly new perspective.

It was a very special morning – with extremely dense mist covering the whole place (some other photos taken along will follow - so you can "fully experience" it).

I was initially attracted by some lovely clouds formations. When seen through wide-angle lens they were spreading in almost every directions. To add additional sense of drama I took 3 (wide-angle) vertical shots and stitched everything together into this square composition.

B/W conversion using Gradient Map layer.

Hope you’ll like it.
