Photographer's Note

I had been in leeds for 3 weeks already without really exploring the historic sites of the city, museums, etc. with my camera. The first thing I found when I walked into town were some people in athletic outfits jumping around seeming to be some sort of training. I approached them and asked what they were doing. They explained they are just trying to be prepared for anything in life and they climb and jump around buildings to keep them in top shape. There is a name for people who do this...I can't remember, I have to email them and ask again.

Anyway, I followed them around for about three hours taking photos and learning about them.

For this shot I crouched on the ground between a staircase and piece of urban art. I took one shot as he jumped from the statue to the stairs, this is it. About 10 minutes after I took this photo a cop came and told us to move along and saying it was private property (though it was public). He told me to stop taking pictures and threatened me by saying he could take me in because my picture taking could be construed as being related to terrorism. I posted a picture of the cop in the workshop. Thanks for looking
