Hello Mark,
Very good candid of this modern young woman in her short skirt in these rather stark surroundings. The exposure is beautifully managed emphasising the geometric lines of the tunnel. This is turning out to be a very good series.

Hi Mark,
My first question when seeing this was "is it allowed to shoot photos here ???"
Apart from this ever rising concern I like it very much, first because of the bright and futuristic impression provided by the white walls, it seems straight out of a sci-fi movie, then the lady well placed and animating the scene and mmmhhhhh fashion is short in UK this summer ;-)
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Mark,
Did see your other shots on the same theme. Liked this one the most. The futuristic background with a splash of colour seems to work very well here. Good POV and placement of the lady.

I like the quasi clinical atmosphere that you created here. The composition is simply great. I did a workshop where I try to develop the futuristic side of your shot. I hope you like it

Hi Mark
on good form here. superb handling of the light, and great DOF right through to the darker part of the tunnel. This works on many levels; it does highlight the remoteness at times of our lives in the city, so often rushed and crowded, sometimes alone and vulnerable. Or you could just say nice legs! I, of course, would say the former.

Hi Mark,
Er, I can see some over-exposure there... not on your photo, on her legs actually... this, in turn, provokes high-aperture of every guy on this site towards your picture. Is that a mini-skirt or a thick belt?
Everything in this tunnel is cold and unexciting except the parts that aren't.
"Not much to add here it's just that I liked the shot." - yeah, cold and cerebral, Mark... you didn't happen to notice that girl there in your image, did you? ;-)))

Hi Mark,
Man that 35m/m is really a killer lens...i want one..!!!
Maybe it is all pp work, but when i see the clairty and details of this photo it really seems you have a wonderful piece of equipment in the bag. Your composition is flawless, but you already know this. Good idea asking here to wear something over her beautiful legs...keeps me staring to it ;-)
A fine shot Mark, very clever composed and excellent exposed..!!!

Man, you're really producing fantastic shots in the last weeks. Your last uploads are very very good. I love the overall whiteness of this place and capturing a plane underground it's not easy at all! :) That red skirt really looks awesome among these whites. Very good indeed.

Hi Mark,
That’s really a hot shot with a very aesthetic colour composition and a great capture of the moment. The contrast between the colourful girl and her white frame looks fantastic. This scenery reminds me a bit of the aesthetics of the movie “2046”.
I like the WS, but I think this version looks better.

Hi Mark
Tube tunnels are great places to take photos but it's not easy combining the graphics with good subject matter. Here you've got it all with the girl well placed and in the walking position. The fact that she's alone renders the composition even more dynamic.

Been away for a few days, and I see that you've posted some good stuff during my absence.
For some reason I was drawn to this one. Of course the attractive girl (from the back anyway) is what first grabs the attention, but I like how she contrasts with the almost clinical sterility of the pedestrian tunnel - I've never seen the Underground looking so clean!
It's a good shot Mark, quite futuristic in a way.
Cheers,
Ben

we can see why you liked it. Forget the cool geometry and nice framing, those are fantastic legs. The great color and her outfit are almost out of some sci fi flick. Awesome..did you catch up with her later on and get her number?

Hmmm... I think this one is a far cry from your previous shots. Why? Apart from cool geometry, great sharpness, nice butt and nice legs (she's probably Polish)... I just can't find anything in this picture. Sorry :( Futuristic? Maybe... Telling something new? Moving? Breathtaking? Nope... unfortunately not.
It is a shot one might like. But is this a shot one might admire? A shot that would go deeply into one's memory?

Hi Mark.
Can't fault this technically, it's pretty well spot-on there. Having said that, you have been bringing a lot to your shots of late, if you know what I mean, which is something I look for, but not quite so much in this one. This underworld ceratinly has potential though. (I've only been in it once and couldn't get out quick enough!) Thanks.
Dougie.

London seem to be a great hunting ground for the kind of shots you like to take Mark. I'm very curious as to what prompted you to move there , seems such a quantum leap from Colne (no offence to Colne btw).
I really like the contrast here of the minimalist white of the station and the splash of colour from the girl (who as Battousai says has great legs and probably is Polish).
Dobre bardzo!

Mark,
Nice shot. It's probably down to the fact that I'm a bit of country bumpkin these days that it looks like a set from Solaris to me! I can see there are a few posters on the wall - although not really in shot, and without these little reminders of the planet, it carries a sort of "outer-space" hospital feeling. Maybe she's just arrived on a shuttle and's not got her uniform yet!! :)

Terrific picture Mark, the best i've seen till long time here on TE, i do love the sensuality it vehiculates, oh my god this is sooo short !
Beautiful treatment there playing with high tones, i see you have a prodigious equipment, really great !

This image is really eye catching perhaps more to the male population than female Ha Ha. It reminds me of that James Blunt song on his first album. How were you able to catch only one person here as I know how busy the "tube" can be?

Jubilee line..I can't think how many times I took that line thinking of being in some nice sunny place - one of the places in Asia or Africa of which I normally search for photos on this website. It's good to see you can turn the seemingly mundane topic into an inspiring photo with good composition and POV. Thanks for posting.

It is a futuristic image for me, because of the light and decoration of the tunnel. Nice capture of the woman going through.

Hi Mark,
no wonder you liked the shot! even if there were nobody in the frame it would be fantastic. Even if she were not so gorgeus, the presence of one person multiplies the effect of the shot, and she is so... colourfull ;) TFS, Rafa.

Hi Mark - I keep meaning to come back and critique this one. It really is fantastic. As clinical as it is, there is a futuristic sensuality. The colour tones are excellent, especially considering the light there. the short red skirt and great legs obviously help as well ;) At first I thought it would be good with a tighter crop...but after looking at the image, I like the half circles on the wall included. Makes your mind think about curves. I'd really like to create an image in this vein... Imitation is of course the sincerest form of flattery. ;) Rgds, Leilani
