Photographer's Note

10 April 2007, South Queensferry, Edinburgh, Scotland

A pair of swans mule around in storm water run off near the Forth bridges at South Queensferry, a few miles west of the city of Edinburgh in Scotland.

The two bridges link the Lothians in the south and Fife in the north across the Firth of Forth are both marvels of engineering and its worth a trip up to South Queensferry to do a spot of bridge gazing, or better yet, catch a train up to Dundee or St. Andrews and cross the historic and iconic railway bridge itself.

This picture is a "swansong" in one respect, other than the obvious subject matter. This is the last picture of Britain I am posting from within Britain-- I fly on to Australia tomorrow.
