Friday night, St Mary st in Cardiff, the party zone. What is happening there on weekend nights is really something.

Incredible find, Maciek, that guy at the background right is really, ehm, 'eating backwards'? Good timing in any case, not only for this particular detail but also for the moment with the couple in front, and the way in which the two of them frame the guy standing in the doorway behind. I also notice the usual spotless quality that the 5D delivers at 1600 ISO, one of the few (perhaps even the only) area where I find the Nikon DSLRs disappointingly inadequate.

One of those superb street shots I have seen from you! What I really like and I hope I get a little influence from you is how you place your subjects inside the frame of your picture. I guess you get it from experience and practice. This is perfect timing!

I just noticed what is going in behind the dancing couple. My opinion has shifted from just 'well composed' to 'priceless!'
He might be besotted with her as they dance but she's obviously momentarily distracted by the disgusting spectacle over his shoulder and that's what I like most. It's a scene and not merely a shot of a man unloading his stomach onto the pavement.

Wow, that fellow in the backgrund speing his guts out is really something. Hilariously, it doesn&t seem to affect the "romatic mood" in the foreground.
Extraordinary capture, Maciej. Sincerely,

Oh... What great timing! Very romantic indeed. That's just great the contrast btw the 2 scenes.

a postershot for decisive moment :-).. still i'm not sure about this maciej.. i think what i'd like to see is eyecontact between the couple to accentuate more (what i assume was your purpose to portray?) the beautiful and the ugly.. i just don't feel that romantic mood between the two.. it seems like she's preoccupied with the "performance" (and so is obviously the the girl in the bg)... it's simply too much of just a picture of people watching a guy throw up on the street...

Fantastic. Like Dolin says, we feel like having also drunk a few pints. How can you manage to hold your camera and a glass of beer at the same time?? Do you manage to keep yourself out of trouble in such an hazardous environment?

ha ha ha ha.
This one should have a warning: do not open while eating (just like I am doing right now)!!
Decisive moment at it's grossest.
Let me finish my sandwich now.

I now understand why the Cardiff police has an eye on mrbialy and you... you two are the pains in the neck of the Cardiff nights.
I suspect the Cardiff citizen anxiously browse trekearth on saturday and sunday mornings to see whether they have been shot showing a stupid behavior. Congrats, the guy is now looking for you with a knife in his hands. Don't turn your back.
More seriously I have mixed feelings about this one, ethical and technical. I'm not sure a technicolor yawn pays hommage to anyone. The focus is very strangely pointing at the foreground guy's wrist. of course, I understand you had less than a second to react...

I'm glad there's no sound to this picture... You must have composed this before the event. I wonder if you knew what was going to happen? I give you a yellow face just because it's apt. Very good work!

the thing that strikes me is the guy behind who is throwing up while this guy has eyes only for his girlfriend;-) She seems t have noticed the scene that is going on behind hum though;-) a very moody scene!

great interaction of the foreground and the background. extremely well framed for the split second occurance.
as I looked at this I saw the couple and was looking at them, and then I saw this guy "partied-out" in the background and I laughed out loud.
very engaging picture.
thanks

kodak moment. What i like is the focus..his bracelet really takes you away from it all...only to urge you to go searching for more in the background.
