A handrail on the new ceremonial staircase outside Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. To me this looks like a crack in the ice drawn by a cartoonist or something!

It's a very efficient graphical composition you have achieved here, all the lines work together in the frame.
The wideangle perspective makes the last three sections of the handrail look like they have different angles from the rest, interesting. There are some funny details at the edge of the steps to keep the professional occupied for a while.

I thought they were benches to start with, but now they're hand rails, both could work.
Good choice of angle and the lines in the shot reinforce the perspective. I might have not included the end, as this would leave the viewer wondering how long the steps went on for.

Interesting and unusual shot taken at an odd angle. Reminds me of a night on the beer. Great use of perspective. If you rotate it clockwise the rail becomes a crazy artwork on the floor.

I like this kind of shots very much, and this is just great, Andy. The endless zigzag is very very well coposed as a diagonal. Excellent DOF. I think it could be great also in b/w. Well done.

This is so well composed that I at first sight couldn't see what was up and what was down. All I saw were the fantastic lines and angles and the perspective that all seemed to have no reason to be there or go anywhere. When the eye stays with it for a while it unfolds like some mystery shot. Another one for the art gallery. One of these days I will do a group of all the shots I find here on TE that I think could hang framed in art galleries. This one is in.

Excellent composition, I like the chosen angle, we would say an arrow which crosses the image.
