Photographer's Note
In October everywhere in the Northern Irish countryside there were foxes hanging over barb wire at the side of the road. Apparently it was hunting season, but it was weird for a city boy like me, who knows dead animals mostly from supermarket shelves, to see them on display like this just at the side of the road. Quite sad to see those beautiful animals like this.

Hi Frans
I can not say that this is "nice" picture, because of the grim subject, but it's definitely an interesting one. I would go for a different perspective, maybe...
Anyway, thanks for sharing

Hello Frans
Brought to your site by your 'Spooky Statues' shot,I have found this.
What a waste of beautiful creatures. Such sights can lessen the pleasure of being in the countryside, although I know there are many people who maintain that it is a 'necessary evil'.
You have treated it simply and well. Any closer might have been nasty and a more 'arty' approach inappropriate, I feel.
Not a pretty sight, but a glimpse of the reality of country life as your title suggests.
Best Wishes Maggie
