Photographer's Note
I can`t see any right category for this picture. It's a place where architecture and nature dissolve in one :-) Anyway this viaduct is really huge. A very interesting and famous place, especially for Harry Potter`s fans. I decided to wait for the retro train, though it passes the viaduct only twice a day. Unfortunatelly, this brilliant sunlight appeared just for a few seconds and when the train came the light had been gone.
Another version of this picture includes the steam train, which fits to this place very well. Unhappily it`s not so sharp as this shot and it dosn't have this wonderful light...

A different view of the Glenfinnan Viaduct, and one with fabulous lighting on it as well. I like the way you have captured the curve of the viaduct and the colours of the hillsides. Yes the steam train would have completed it, but it's a pretty good shot even without that.
Well done, nice work.

La lumiθre et le motif principal (le tunnel) sont trθs bien rendus et mis en valeur.
Les arbres ainsi que les herbes rιhaussent l'ensemble et prodiguent un caractθre feutrι ΰ cette photo que j'aime beaucoup

Nice warm colours.
Did you made the picture in the morning or in the evening (due to shadow and colours)?

Beautiful image. I like the way you have composed it allowing the viaduct to cut right into the image in it's lovely flowing arc. A landscape that does not need the sky and the better for it. Quality image.

Hi Patryk, great view! i wouldn't mind to wait for the train in such a beautiful place! Just the railway with the light looks great. Of course if the train would be coming it would have added to the photo, but it is better like this, with the sun!
Good job!

Serwus Patryk !
Coś pięknego.. Rzeczywiście, wiadukt wydaje się tu być częścią natury. Niesamowite barwy jesieni, kapitalne niskie światło, czytelny, wciągający, wyrazisty kadr.
Gratuluję serdecznie i pozdrawiam,
Mateusz

It's a fabulous train journey, and one I highly recommend! I can't work out where you're standing to take this pic, but a better position than I managed, that's for sure. It's a shame some of the arches are so reflective, but guess that's really unavoidable.
It seems that loch we spoke about earlier probably WAS the same one...as I was heading north to Fort William to get on the train there! FW was wonderland, the journey was incredible, and Mallaig at the other end was just superb. I hope to post some more of my photos from that day on here soon!

wonderfull sun light, objects very well placed, would have been wonderfull if the train could be caught on it with the same light. But could made it a different photo. This is so nice by colors, light and balance.

Hi Patryk - another fine example of right perspective, good light and colourful season, the arc really makes it an outsatnding composition. Some parts of the viaduct look too bright, but's very minor and can easily be retouched in photoshop.

Patryk,
This picture is simple gorgeous. I love the composition, with the viaduct curving off into the distance. The colors are warm and beautiful. It looks almost like a painting. Nicely done!
Regards,
Ryan
P.S. I did recognize this from Harry Potter, but I didn't think it really existed. It seems too beautiful to be a real place.

Hi Patryk,
I've passed this viaduct many times but I've never seen it in such glorious light. Fantastic photograph. A real shame the light wasn't right for the passing of the train but a great shot all the same.

Hello Patryk, this is a wonderful sweeping curve and as you say the viaduct and the colours of the nature around it blend into one very well. Less so many of the structures we build today. The lighting is fabulous giving the image a rich tone as if it was an oil painting. OK, so you didn't capture the train but it would have to be a steam train to really make the picture.
PS If you want the architecture AND nature categories just hold down Ctrl and click both!

Just been browsing your gallery, Patryk. I like this photograph the best - excellent composition, exposure, DOF, sharpness and saturation. You must have been very disappointed not to get the steam train on the viaduct - that would have made an absolutely classic image. Cheers . . . David

Hi Patryk:
Wonderful picture! The composition is excellent, but so are the colors, and the whole thing has a magical feel to it. I can almost see a flying Ford car descending on the tracks! Well done!

Hi, Patryk. The bridge makes a very nice curve here and it crosses the whole picture. the light is very nice indeede with light and shades. Maybe the photo would have gained in dynamism if the curve ahd started in tbe very corner of the picture.

Hi Patryk,
It's a pity that you didn't upload here a photo with an old steam train, but this one is not bad either, with this curvy bridge that is carefully laid in your composition on the warm orange background. The vegetation is not so rich here, but it is 'strategically' placed just to make us wonder where did the bridge disappear :)
