Photographer's Note
Even though the architecture of the Warwick Castle does not look very impressive from this angle, I really liked this spot. It is also a proof that one can find some quiet places in a busy theme park.
On that long weekend, I have visited Warwick, Bath and Bristol. All of them are located along the River Avon. It was later while I was preparing a note for this TrekEarth photo, when I realized that there is more than one River Avon in England and in fact the River Avon passing through Warwick is a different river from the River Avon passing through Bath and Bristol. There are 7 rivers called Avon in England, 3 in Scotland, 5 in Australia, 2 in Canada and 2 in New Zealand.

The explanation of this fact is quite simple. As Wikipedia says:
"Avon" derives from the British language abona, "river", which also survives as a number of other English and Scottish river names, and as modern Welsh afon [ˈavɔn] and Breton avon, "river". This makes it an example of a tautological place name.

A different way t show the castle, and in this view reminds a bit something of indian palaces that we have seen sometimes in Gert gallery. It's many years since I visited Warwick Castle - way back before it was turned into a theme park. I like the viewpoint too. It's very close to where I took my own photo across the water to get that reflection.
I really like the converging lines and the way they draw the eye in.

A nice view of the castle from a good angle with also the sunlight coming from the right side. I like the river and the surrounding scenery a lot, they add a pleasant and peaceful mood.

I have to disagree with you on this, from this angle, to me, this seems like a strong castle rather than the themed park.
I very much like the angle, the differing layers of grass, river and castle, making strong, angled lines across the frame.
The details of the riverside flowers and the reflections in the water, just add to the overall impact.

Not very impressive? Maybe you are too spoiled?
From this side, the castle looks much more like an impregnable fortress.
I see visitors walking between the water (a moat?) and the walls. But that is little room for an army or group of attackers to take action.
I like your composition with the flowers and plants in the foreground. The length of the water and the walls gives a lot of depth to the photo. The different visitors are just small dots in the whole which makes the dimensions of the walls clear.

Hi Mariusz.
After a few days on the island of Lanzarote, and then others of tourism here in Madrid, accompanying some friends from Barcelona, I am back in good spirits, with all of you.
Superb vertical composition, which allows us to delight ourselves both with the view of the river and its green and flowery banks, as with the fantastic mass of the spectacular castle, really great, a beautiful sky that is a good bonus for the composition, in good weather everything is more beautiful.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.

P.S. The wonderful island of Lanzarote and like from another planet with its many volcanoes and huge lava, but it is 500 km away. of La Palma where the volcano is doing damage now.
