Photographer's Note
A rainy day so we decided to go the museum to see a temporary exhibition that we wanted to view.
This work of art was the bonus.
Situated outside The Box, Plymouth's part new and part refurbished museum.
From The Box website:- "A new public art commission by internationally renowned artist Camille Walala.
'Putting Things in Perspective', the temporary installation plays with plane and perspective, existing somewhere between 2D and 3D in the manner of trompe-l'oeil.
This free standing sculptural work measures approximately 6m long by 2.5m wide and 2m high.
Fabricated in London and handpainted in Walala's Shoreditch studio with long standing collaborator and technician Simo Sawyer, before transportation and assembly in Plymouth.
Made from marine plywood."
Two more alternative views in the w/s.
Thanks for looking.

Hello Jean,
This is for lovers of bright objects and public art. It puts me in a good mood and it's cleverly designed by an artist who was "thinking outside The Box". The reflections of older buildings help to put the details of the installation/sculpture in perspective. The WS are useful complements.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Jean,
The weather may be inclement but this artwork stands out bright and clear. It certainly has a very 3D effect, as designed by the artist. I really like it! What a great piece of art for a modern setting!
Your w/s are very well exposed, too!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
What's the weather like in Devon?
We have been experiencing some very heavy downfalls. The plants ... suffering from a previous drought, are now almost flattened!

And re satnav in the Australian outback - some of the programs are useless, especially Google which didn't even show a bridge being where we wanted to cross the river. My inbuilt one in the car is OK and a GPS app for my phone is better still - and I do still use maps!

Hi Jean,
A good combination of grey day reflections and this brightly painted artwork. At first I didn't realize it is 3D. Workshops help to get a better idea of this sculpture.

Hello Jean,
A work of art that looks interesting viewed from different sides, even from the back.
Two photos also show pretty reflections of surrounding buildings.
At first I thought that a word had to be read in this installation, but I searched for that in vain.
The different colours, planes and lines make it visually very attractive.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Jean
It's bold, catchy and cheerful artwork with 3D feel to cheer the greyish wet day. The concept is carried off very well, well spotted and taken precisely.

Hi Jean.
A great composition with this colorful work of art of current design, it has a powerful chromaticism with that variety of colors so attractive to the eye, the WS give us another angle of the work of art.
Sharpness, lighting, color, and the magnificent composition; they are all perfectly realized factors, in this precious image.
Well done. I like very much.
You have a good day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Jean,
This is a colorful and interesting work of art. I'm also drawn to the reflections in the glass behind the art. Is that a church? It's a nice view. Take care!

Hello Jean,
This is a very 'CHEERFUL' work of art , bringing sheer joy on a rainy day.
I like it because it gives an 'illusion' of space on 2D and 3D of trompe-l'oeil . What striking me most are the 'zebra-crossing' patterns in all shapes and sizes.
This standing sculptural work with the reflections b/g , making it even more 'stand out' in the open space of this sloping ground.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful 'genius' art.

Hi Jean
I appreciate the WS photos from different angles, that's always important to see. but obviously this is the best angle, and the brightest for lighting too. Nice to have the reflections on the glass in the bg, kind of like a hidden 2md subject :)
fun views
cheers

Hi Jean,
A cheery sculpture with nice bright colours and nice tricks of the eye. Your photo has great sharpness and looks good despite the grey weather. You chose the best angle to look at it, and your light control is excellent.

Hello Jean,
This kind of colourful art in public spaces always makes me a little happier.
A wonderful, attractive game with geometric figures.
I hope there are a few benches nearby where you can rest from the long walk through the city and at the same time enjoy and associate with this artwork.
Excellent work
Have a nice day, groet Rob
